BRING YOUR WATERFRONT TO LIFE
A deeper glow. A different view of your dock.
The Deep Glow Underwater Dock Lighting System uses a replaceable 150-watt metal-halide lamp to illuminate the water around docks, piers and waterfront properties. Its weighted, self-righting housing rests on the bottom and directs light toward the surface. Choose green, white or blue light, your cable length and the plug configuration for your installation.
01 / GLOW
Light the water from below.
The bottom-resting design directs light upward for a visible glow around the dock. Coverage varies with water clarity, depth and surrounding light.
02 / WILDLIFE
Watch the water come alive.
Deep Glow is designed to attract baitfish, which can draw larger fish into the area. Local conditions and marine life determine what visits your dock.
03 / INSTALL
Deploy it from the dock.
The light is designed to land lens-side up. Plan the cable route, water depth and boat clearance, then follow the installation guide before connecting power.

150 W is the lamp rating. Use the manufacturer’s current and installation requirements when planning the circuit. Lumen output is a published lamp specification; visible underwater coverage depends on site conditions.
THREE WAYS TO SET THE SCENE
Choose your bulb color.
Green
Choose green for a colored underwater glow and a fish-viewing atmosphere around the dock.
White / clear
Choose the White option for uncolored lamp output. Deep Glow calls this bulb Clear in its manufacturer listing.
Blue
Choose blue for a different underwater color effect. Select Blue in the product options when ordering.
Each system uses the selected bulb color. This is a metal-halide system, rather than an RGB color-changing LED light.
MEASURE THE WHOLE ROUTE
Which cable length do I need?
Measure from the power source, along the intended cable route, down to the bottom and out to the light’s final position. Include the vertical distance as well as the distance away from the dock.
Available lengths in this listing
30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300 feet.
Select a length that reaches the planned position without tension. Secure and route the cable away from boat traffic and potential damage. Deep Glow prohibits splicing the light cable.
MATCH YOUR DOCK CONNECTION
Standard plug or GFCI plug?
Standard plug
The standard plug is the most popular selection shown in this listing. It must connect to a GFCI-protected outlet.
Inline GFCI plug
Choose this version to include an inline GFCI device on the cord. The manufacturer’s installation guide still specifies connection to a GFCI-protected dock outlet.
The light housing goes underwater; the plug, GFCI and optional timer remain above water. Follow the manual for mounting position and electrical connection.
CHECK YOUR FIT
Product dimensions
| Housing width | 9 in |
|---|---|
| Housing height | 8 in |
These dimensions describe the underwater light housing. Allow for the cable route, bottom conditions and clearance beneath boats or lifts.
READY FOR YOUR INSTALL
What’s in the box?
- 1 × Deep Glow underwater lighting system with the selected bulb color
- Cable in the selected length and plug configuration
- Cord weight and cord fasteners
- Operating and installation instructions
A control timer is optional and sold separately.
PLAN THE INSTALL BEFORE YOU BUY
From the dock to the bottom.
See how the light housing, cord weight and above-water connections work together, then use the installation steps and manufacturer’s guide below.
1 / Pick the position
Choose a location with at least three feet of water. Consider bottom material, boat movement and clearance for both the light and cable.
2 / Route and secure
Disconnect power during installation. Secure the cable and fit the supplied cord weight as shown in the guide. Lower and place the light carefully in rocky areas.
3 / Submerge, then connect
Complete installation with the light fully submerged before connecting power. The manual specifies mounting the inline GFCI vertically, at least four feet above the high-water mark.
Installation and operating requirements
- Use a GFCI-protected outlet for either plug choice. Keep the plug, GFCI and optional timer out of the water.
- Keep the light fully submerged whenever it operates; do not operate it in air.
- Do not use this system in a pool or spa, and do not swim near the light while it operates.
- Disconnect power before installing, removing or cleaning the light. Do not splice the cable.
GIVE THE LAMP TIME TO GLOW
Warm-up, restart and everyday use.
Allow a few minutes after switching on for the metal-halide lamp to reach full brightness. After switching it off, Deep Glow specifies a 15-minute interval before restarting.
The manufacturer recommends operating the light for at least eight hours daily for optimal performance. An optional timer can help manage the operating schedule.
KEEP YOUR GLOW PERFORMING
A replaceable lamp. A serviceable system.
Inspect the light and cable periodically and clean the lens as directed by Deep Glow. Local marine growth can make regular cleaning necessary.
The operating guide recommends bulb replacement every two years for best performance. Replacement bulbs and O-rings are available separately. Disconnect power and follow the manufacturer’s service instructions before maintenance.
SEE THE GLOW

Installation photos illustrate the effect; water clarity, depth and surrounding lighting affect the result.

BEFORE YOU ORDER
Common questions
Is this an LED light?
No. This system uses a replaceable 150-watt metal-halide lamp and HID ballast.
Can it be used in saltwater and freshwater?
Yes. Deep Glow lists the system for both. Choose a suitable bottom location with adequate water depth and boat clearance.
How far will the glow spread?
Deep Glow describes approximately 15–30 feet of illuminated diameter depending on water clarity, depth and lighting conditions. Treat this as site-dependent coverage, not guaranteed spacing between fixtures.
Does the Standard Plug option need GFCI protection?
Yes. Selecting a standard plug does not remove the requirement for a GFCI-protected outlet.
Can I add more cable later?
Do not splice the light cable. Measure the complete route before ordering and select a suitable factory cable length.
Is the timer included?
No. The timer shown in some installation illustrations is optional and sold separately.
Why does the lamp take time to restart?
Metal-halide lamps do not provide instant restart after shutdown. Follow Deep Glow’s specified 15-minute interval before restarting.
