SMALL DETAILS. A DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE.

Follow the lines of your boat.

Add accent lighting under cabinets, behind valances or along toe kicks with IMTRA 3/8-inch LED Rope Light. Sold by the linear foot, this flexible, clear-PVC rope light is available in warm white, cool white, red or blue, with a choice of 12V DC or 24V DC to match your installation.

01 / LENGTH

Order the length you need.

One unit equals one linear foot. Measure your runs, select your color and voltage, then enter the total number of feet in the Quantity field.

02 / COLOR

Choose your atmosphere.

Warm white and cool white offer two different white-light appearances. Red and blue add a fixed-color accent. Each rope is a single color.

03 / FIT

A compact, flexible profile.

The round 3/8-inch PVC tubing follows your installation path. Trim only at the marked cut points for the selected color and voltage.

MAKE IT YOURS

Which color fits your space?

Warm white

A warmer white appearance for a relaxed cabin or seating-area accent.

Cool white

A cooler white appearance for a crisp accent along cabinetry and interior details.

Red

A dedicated red accent for your chosen lighting scheme.

Blue

A dedicated blue accent for a marine-inspired atmosphere.

Select one color and one voltage in the options above. This is fixed-color rope lighting; it does not change between colors.

MATCH THE ROPE TO YOUR POWER

12V vs. 24V: plan your run.

Choose the version that matches your DC supply. Power consumption and cutting intervals depend on both voltage and color; red has different cut points from the white and blue versions.

Version LED colors Power per foot Cut interval Maximum run
12V DC Warm white / cool white / blue 0.87 W/ft 3 in 32 ft
12V DC Red 0.65 W/ft 4 in 32 ft
24V DC Warm white / cool white / blue 0.87 W/ft 6 in 65 ft
24V DC Red 0.58 W/ft 8 in 65 ft

Always follow the scissor marks on the rope supplied. A maximum run is the limit for one continuous powered run, not the total length you may order. Split longer installations into separately powered runs.

MEASURE FIRST. ORDER ONCE.

How much should I order?

Measure each planned section and allow for its permitted cutting interval. Add the lengths for the same color and voltage, then enter the total in feet.

Example: two 10-foot sections

Enter 20 in Quantity for 20 feet of rope light. Plan two separately powered 10-foot sections, each with its own connector kit and end cap.

If you need different colors or voltages, add each selection to your cart separately. Check the maximum run length before planning a long continuous installation.

COMPLETE YOUR INSTALLATION

What else do I need?

This listing is for rope light by the foot. Connection kits, end caps, mounting hardware, dimmers and power supplies are sold separately.

Connect each powered run

DC power cord / connector kit — IMTRA specifies ILMDL-CONKIT-6 for a DC-powered installation. The kit includes the connector and a 6-foot cord.

Close each unused end

Rope light end cap — use ILMDL-END to cover the exposed end. Seal connections for outdoor or damp use according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Support the rope

Conduit clips or mounting track help secure the run. Use hardware sized for 3/8-inch rope and avoid crushing or damaging the PVC.

Joining sections? Compatible splice connectors are available separately. Any joined continuous run must still remain within the limit for its version.

PLAN THE POWER BEFORE YOU BUY

The right supply. The right connection.

For a boat’s DC system

Match 12V rope to a 12V DC supply, or 24V rope to a 24V DC supply. Size the supply, wiring, circuit protection and any dimmer for the combined load of all connected sections. IMTRA recommends a power conditioner to regulate voltage for LED rope lighting.

For household or dock power

Use a compatible, correctly sized AC-to-DC LED power supply with the required 12V DC or 24V DC output. These low-voltage versions must not connect directly to a 120V or 220V outlet. Browse LED power supplies.

Using a low-voltage AC transformer instead? IMTRA specifies a rectifier connection kit for that arrangement: ILMDL-CON12V-L6 for 12V AC or ILMDL-CON24V-L6 for 24V AC. Confirm the complete setup before ordering.

For dimming, match the dimmer to the rope, supply voltage and total load. View IMTRA’s dimmer compatibility chart.

FROM THE BOX TO YOUR BOAT

Cut, connect and secure.

Cut at the marks

Disconnect power before cutting. Use only the marked cut points for your selected version; cutting between them can damage a section.

Protect the connections

Fit the connector and end cap using IMTRA’s instructions. Seal all connections when used outside or in a damp location.

Allow heat to escape

Support the PVC without pinching or cutting it. IMTRA instructs users not to cover the rope during use or place it in a groove that prevents heat dissipation.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Common questions

Does quantity 1 mean one foot or one roll?

One foot. Enter the number of linear feet you need in the Quantity field.

Are the connectors and power supply included?

No. Order the appropriate connector kit, end cap and mounting accessories separately. Add a power supply or conditioner when required for your installation.

Can I cut every color at the same interval?

No. Red cuts every 4 inches at 12V or 8 inches at 24V. Warm white, cool white and blue use 3-inch cuts at 12V or 6-inch cuts at 24V. Always use the marks on the actual rope.

Can I use one voltage version on either system?

No. Select the rope voltage that matches the supply. A 12V version and a 24V version are different products.

Is it suitable for underwater lighting?

Plan above-water use. The IP65 rating does not establish suitability for submersion. Follow IMTRA’s instructions for sealing connections in damp or outdoor locations.
